Mixed Media Collage Style

You all might be familiar with the Prima Designer Anna Dobrowska. When she began to introduce her fabulous Mixed Media Collage Style crafting technique, it took off like wildfire!! This creative concept has been redone by many great crafters out there!!! From Boxes, to canvas and more!!! While chatting with a friend of mine Pinkscrapper, I was telling her how wonderful her canvas came out and that I should try this technique!!! I could not wait and this is what I created!!!

Watch the video below for more pics and a quick tut on how and what I used to make this box!!!!

PS. The music soooo relates to me!!! I love it!!!

ABOUT MY NEW BLING LINE!!!

About Angela Holts Designs New Bling Line!
I did not design this bling. I’m bringing you this line under Angela Holt’s Bling Splendar Line
I’ve researched and tested out various pieces of bling, that I’ve found through a whole sale dealer.
I’ve put many months of research into this to bring you the best I can from the distributers located in China and Thailand. I’ve thought of you my followers when I looked at and tested the bling for this line. I am offering you this line of bling at great prices. You are welcome to order it from the whole sellers yourself in bulk if that is what you want. I will be putting the bling together in sets so that you can buy what you need and want without having to buy bulk. I hope you enjoy this bling line as much as I enjoyed researching and bringing you this lovely new bling, at a great affordable price for you to use on all your crafty projects.

Altered Masquerade Mask

I wanted to share with you a fabulous project I did!!! My mom wanted her Mask revamped, so I broke it down to the bare bones and rebuilt the mask in my style!!! Here is what I did,................

As you can see I tore everything off the mask and went down to the base!! I knew that I wanted to add dept to the mask!!!

I took my polymer clay mold and used my Hot Glue Gun to make the pieces I wanted to add dept!!! I Also used Virginia's Faux Molding paste recipe. I added acrylic paint to the recipe so that I could give the mask a chalky stone look!!! I added about 4 layers of this mixture to the mask to help bring out the dept of the Hot Glue Designs.

After the final layer of the Faux Modeling Paste was dry, I covered the whole mask in Mod Podge. While it was still wet with the Mod Podge, I sprinkled Fairy Dust Glitter all over it to give it that sparkle look. As you can see I could not go without adding some bling to the piece!!

I knew I wanted to add a punch factor to the mask, so I pulled out my Zucker Feathers and went to adding them on the side and from the photos below, this is how my mask turned out!!!

I would love to see what you can do with the Fabulous Fazx Molding Paste Recipe from Virginia, it is absolutely fun to use and so versatile to work with!!! You can find the recipe over on the challenge blog!! See like on the side bar on the left!!! Enter the challenge for a chance to win an awesome prize!!!

Challenge Blog Challenge Valentine/G45 Style

I could not be more excited about launching the Challenge Blog with my Design Team!! This month the Challenge is brought to you by Design Team Member Virginia Dare. The challenge is .....

Faux Modeling Paste Technique Challenge by Virginia Dare "Dare's Designz

This Technique is usually seen with modeling paste or artist spackle, I first saw it done by Fiona Jennings on youtube. I didn't have artist spackle and could not find it any where. I found that modeling paste was very expensive. So I experimented and came up with faux modeling paste spackle by mixing dry wall spackle with mod podge. Here's what you need to do. Step by Step. See
how to enter for a prize tabs above if you would like to try this. I will have the requirements I'm looking for listed at the end.

Virginia Dare of "Dare's Designz"

So with this challenge in mind I created the following box using Virginia's Faux Recipe above!

I use the Graphic 45 " A Place int Time" February Calendar Paper to add to the front of the box.

Can you believe that I took HOT GLUE and put the glue in my Polyer Clay Molds and made these accents? Yep that is what I did!! I loved loved that Mod Podge is coming out with molds to do the same thing so I thought why not try the ones I have on hand!!! I think that it turned out fabulous!!!

I hope that this give you inspiration to take on the challenge and try out Virginia's awesome cost cutting Faux Molding past recipe!!! I look forward to inspire you more!!!!

Angela Holt Designs and Graphic 45 Creative Team Blog Hop!!

Welcome to the first annual Angela Holt Designs Creative Team Blog Hop sponsored by Graphic 45. My Design Team and I have some fabulous projects to share with you using two awesome collections, 'The Perfect Gentleman and A Lady's Diary.

I want to send a HUGE thank you to Graphic 45 and their wonderful staff for sponsoring us this month. It has been a true pleasure to work with such beautiful products!!

If you are HERE then you are in the right place to begin the awesome BLOG HOP!!!

Project number 2 and 3 for the Blog Hop!!

Using the "A Proper Gentleman" collection from Graphic 45and some Good will finds that I altered!!

I got these mini 4x4 shadow boxes at the Goodwill. With the Graphic 45's " A Proper Gentleman",  created this awesome 2 tier Shadow Box. So now lets get to the details.....

I simply love the new Tim Holtz mini Light Lantern. It was the perfect added piece to this Shadow Box. It gave it the perfect touch to a masculine piece. If you would like to order one, you can find them in my store by clicking here---> https://www.facebook.com/angelaholtdesignsbiz/app_135607783795

I love love working with Graphic 45 paper. I mean who doesn't? Shhh, I went though my dad's garage and snagged some goodies like the light bulb you see here. I thought is fit perfect with the theme of this paper line!! By layering the elements made this look so 3D!!!

Again using a layering technique, I built the foundation of each shadow box. Plus using Tim Holtz products, made it flipping awesome!!!

The Shadow Boxes were un-painted wood. So I painted them black and then added a gold paint wash over the black paint, to give it an aged look!!! I really enjoyed making this project and I look forward to working with more Graphic 45 products soon!!! NOW OFF TO PROJECT #2

Goodwill Find #2!! This was a cute lamp with a bike at the base. The lamp shade was ugly but I loved the beading!! I mean I could not pass it up for $2!!!

So I pulled off the old ugly material that covered the shade and began adding the Graphic 45 " A Proper Gentleman" Paper!!

I found this old drawer pull from my moms junk drawer and I used it as a topper for the shade!! Pretty awesome and it fit right in!!

I hope that you like these projects I complete using the fabulous papers from Graphic 45!! Be sure to visit the links below for the DT gals will have new projects for you to gather inspiration from!!
